I'm not sure If I can wrap my head around this gilet/ body warmer trend. Yes I made the mistake of pronouncing it like an english person and it sounded more like I was asking for a fish supper. I really don't understand paying a large amount for a piece of clothing that doesn't cover your arms and also whenever I used to go to Ireland there would be these big puffer ones waiting for me as presents, not the most flattering options (everyone looking like a craggy island priest). However I have seen many (fashionable) people on the internet actually making them look good especially the biker and faux fur but when does a gilet become a waistcoat.

  1. Love the idea of them (in recent years they've made them so much more better looking than when I was younger!!) but not sure they'd suit me...

Love your reference to Craggy Island! And it's so true! That or a farmer :D The supporting video made my day - definitely one of the funniest F.T episodes made! x x

  5. Ya...it's supposed to be something about warming the heart or something so your blood warms the rest of the body? I don't know, I don't get it. I had one once and my arms were really cold. I mean, those guys are also wearing sparkly blue suits, so can you really trust them for fashion advice?

PS I'm thinking The Cherry Blossom Girl has such nice things because she probably gets them for free. Also, she lives in Paris, where all pretty things come from.

  6. Yeah, ive never been sure. They're the type of thing you'd wear once or twice for an outfit but maybe not practical. I do however, like the vests.

  7. I love the trend! However I'm not to keen on wearing faux fur gilets, but other people can make them work! I've been hunting around a while now for a puff body warmer, but havn't found one! Body warmers always remind me of Marty Mcfly...
